Avoiding Addiction Workshop
We begin by defining what addiction truly is and revealing that we’re all at risk, as trauma or significant events can push us toward dysfunction, potentially leading to addiction. Then, we focus on what you need to cultivate within yourself—whether it’s certain character traits, personality strengths or habits—so that when challenges arise, you’re equipped to face them. With the right structures in place, you can avoid falling into addiction and stay grounded in your true self.

Coping with ADHD, Nutrition and Your Brain
ADHD is a spectrum, and while some of us may experience only the positive side effects, many others deal with varying degrees of reactivity. The key is to create behavioral patterns that work with your own or your child’s ADHD, making life much easier. It’s important to recognize that ADHD comes with incredible skill sets—it’s all about learning how to work with this neurodiversity, rather than against it. When you embrace this approach, you’ll unlock the full potential that ADHD brings.
Nutrition effects brain health, and how what we eat directly impacts our mental and emotional well-being. We can’t expect to consume large amounts of sugar and then be mentally and emotionally stable a few hours later. Understanding the connection between what we put into our bodies and the mental and emotional outcomes we experience is crucial. This interaction is particularly noticeable in the short term, especially for those who are food-sensitive, like many individuals with ADHD. As a society, we’ve seen an increase in depression and psychiatric illnesses, and while not all of it can be traced back to diet, much of it is rooted in what we choose to fuel our bodies with.
